Ministry of Port ask stakeholders to submit suggestions on PPP draft policy by March 8 Mumbai, Feb 23 (KNN) Ministry of Port, Shipping and Waterways has invited suggestions and comments from stakeholders on PPP Policy for Major Port Land Industrialization by 8th March, 2022.
It has constituted a committee under the Chairmanship of T.K Ramachandran, Chairman V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust (VOCPT) for drafting the policy.
Based on the discussions, detailed benchmarking study, and internal deliberation among the committee members, the draft Industrial Policy has been proposed.
The policy draft proposes SPV model with Port land as equity contribution for greenfield industrial area development, and also looks into development through long term concession model and holding company model with development through concession route or long term lease route for greenfield development area.
It has also plans to adopt the Swiss challenge model for greenfield industrial area development (multi product, sector specific) and greenfield anchor industrial investment in large industries.
