Hyderabad: Telangana, its single window clearance system, its startup policy and the leadership in the State have come for an effusive praise from Invest India, the first point of contact for global companies wanting to set up their operations in India.
“It is no longer a surprise that you (KT Rama Rao) have admirers and fans not just in Invest India but across the entire global investor community. You make us proud, said Invest India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Deepak Bhagla.
He referred Telangana a juggernaut which is now ready to propel and take forward its stake in a larger way.
“You have one of the most effective single widow system in the country. When we were trying to launch the national single window a couple of months ago, we had some of our learnings from your single window. Hopefully, we can bring the national single window to the same level of efficiency as you have with you. With this, I think India will be a completely new destination where the global investor community is going to be looking at it. I complement the kind of initiatives taken and we are already seeing the results, he said.
“If I look at an average growth of 13 per cent, we are looking at 0 billion getting added to the bottom lines and balancesheets of all those who would be joining Telangana in this journey. That is where I talk about the leadership that is created there. Look at the ease of doing business front. It is remarkable jump from 13th position to number three. That explains the focus of leadership to make the investor journey easy, he said.
India as of March 2021 secured FDI of $ 80 billion from 89 countries in 69 sectors, he said.
