Showers turn Hyderabad weather cool #IndiaNEWS #Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Providing relief from the sweltering heat, pleasant weather with breeze and light showers was seen in various parts of Hyderabad city on Sunday. As the city has been witnessing dry weather conditions for the past few days, the cool breeze along with occasional showers in some areas in the city was a blessing from the sky.
On Sunday, mild to moderate showers continued in different parts of the city for the second day in a row. The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 36.4 degree Celsius, whereas the lowest minimum temperature was at 25.7 degree Celsius.
Areas like Kukatpally, Mehdipatnam, Moosapet, Erragadda, Ameerpet, Rasoolpura, Jubilee Hills, Khairatabad, Panjagutta and surrounding parts received light showers.
Despite the cloudy weather and thunderstorms in the city, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), dry weather conditions are expected to be witnessed in the next two days.
A few districts in the State also recorded light to moderate rains on Sunday. According to the IMD, light rains and thundershowers were observed in northern and eastern districts of Telangana including Vikarabad, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medchal, Kumuram Bheem, Nirmal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Nagarkurnool and Nalgonda.
The IMD on Sunday announced a low pressure alert in Bay of Bengal and warned that it would turn into a severe depression and then have a chance of becoming a hurricane on Monday. However, Telangana would not be affected by the depression, it added.
