All set for launch of Mana Ooru-Mana Badi in 1165 govt schools in Warangal #IndiaNEWS #News
Warangal: All arrangements are in place for the launch of the ‘Mana Ooru – Mana Badi’ programme in as many as 1,165 government schools in the erstwhile Warangal district, said Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao.
“While 176 schools were chosen for this programme in Jangaon district, 149 were selected in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, and 125 schools in Mulugu district. 223 of them belonged to Warangal, and 176 are from the Hanamkonda district. We have also selected 316 schools for the programme from Mahabubabad district,�? Rao said in a press note here on Sunday.
“I appeal to the donors and philanthropists to come forward to donate money or land for the development of the government schools for the benefit of the poor students,�? Rao said and added that the English medium would be introduced in these selected schools from the academic year 2022-23. “Digital classrooms with all the required facilities, construction of additional classrooms, repairs to the damaged classrooms, providing necessary furniture, and construction of the toilets with water facilities were made in these schools,�? Rao said, adding that the construction of dining halls would also be undertaken as part of this ambitious programme of the Telangana government.
“English medium will be introduced in all schools from Class 9 in the 2023-24 academic year and from Class 10 in the 2024-25,�? he said and added that they were preparing the textbooks in both the Telugu and English languages (bilingual). Dayakar Rao has urged people to enroll their children in government schools, and appealed to NGOs, womens self-help groups, youth groups, teachers, government employees and others to take part in this programme aimed at transforming the government schools.
