CM releases book on government schemes for MSME units #finance #StockMarketNEWS #Business
Panaji: On World MSME Day celebrated Monday, viz. June 27, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Goa, released, ‘Compendium of MSME Policies and Incentive Schemes in Goa’, a publication on government schemes for MSME units. The book was released by Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, in the presence of ICAI members.



Pointing out that the book will go a long way in educating MSME businesses about various incentives, CM said that, it would  also become a go-to ready-reckoner for anyone wishing to setup a business in Goa.



“This will certainly go a long way ahead in improving ease of doing business in Goa and will attract investments to the state,� said CM Sawant.



Speaking on the book ICAI, Goa, chairman, Gaurav Kenkre said, “This book is the first such publication in Goa and we are very happy to dedicate this book to the betterment of the business eco-system.  We believe this is just the start and as we roll out further editions, not only will we widen the scope and ambit of the book, but we will also include all updates to the policies thereinâ€?. 



ICAI- Goa, has thanked officials of the industries department, IT department and EDC for their support in releasing the book. Chartered accountants Vaibhav Pai Fondekar, Vinayak Dhumatkar, Margao, and Vishwanath Bhobe, Mapusa have authored the book. 



Others present at the event were ICAI office bearers, Thomas Andrade, Milind Shirodkar and



Vaibhav Bale.



Earlier in the day, the ICAI along with the GCCI, GSIA and EDC organized a free  webinar where speakers explained various state as well as central schemes. The ICAI  will shortly sign a MoU with the state government for skilling MSMEs and startups in Goa.
