ED gets two-day custody of West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee in 2018 teacher recruitment scam #IndiaNEWS
West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee was on Saturday sent to Enforcement Directorate’s custody for two days by a court in connection with the agency’s investigation into the alleged teacher recruitment scam in the state School Service Commission in 2018, ANI reported.The Enforcement Directorate arrested Chatterjee, a senior Trinamool Congress leader, earlier in the day after almost 24 hours of questioning. He was later produced him before a judge in the Bankshall court in Kolkata.The 69-year-old was the state education minister in 2018 when allegedly jobs were given to candidates in return of money instead of deserving candidates who had qualified in the recruitment process.
