Karimnagar: Irrigation officials on Saturday lifted the flood gates of the Lower Manair Dam to release the water into the downstream. About 29,925 cusecs of water is being discharged into the river Manair by lifting 16 flood gates.
As the reservoir is receiving huge inflows from its catchment area following incessant rainfall during the last few days, project officials have lifted gates. Collector RV Karnan lifted the gates by performing puja.
Presently, LMD is getting 29,925 cusecs of water from different sources including Moyathummeda rivulet 9,865 cusecs, Mid Manair Reservoir 17,760, CR 144.175 and Km 2,300 cusecs.
