22 MSMEs apply for Telecom PLI scheme #finance #StockMarketNEWS
22 MSMEs apply for Telecom PLI scheme New Delhi, Aug 27 (KNN) The government has received 22 applications from MSMEs for Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme in the telecom sector. 

In total 32 applications have been been submitted out of which five are non-MSME domestic and five global companies. 



The scheme for the telecom sector was launched in 2021 with governments vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Ministry of Communications said in a statement that the government is taking concrete steps in telecom equipment manufacturing.

A total of 31 companies are now manufacturing various telecom equipment under the PLI scheme. 

Out of the 32 applicants 17 companies have applied as design-led manufacturers.

To promote the entire value-chain in telecom manufacturing, Design-led PLI was launched in June 2022.   (KNN Bureau)
