Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched 5G internet services at the India Mobile Congress held in New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. The technology is expected to provide high speed internet and a lower latency in transfer of data.“It will increase energy efficiency, spectrum efficiency and network efficiency,â€? the prime minister’s office said in a release.Modi said that the 5G services is the beginning of a new era. “At the time of 2G, 3G and 4G, India was dependent on other countries for technology,â€? he said. “With 5G, India has scripted a new history.
