Ather Energy, BLive to set up EV charging stations in Goa #finance #StockMarketNEWS #Business
Panaji: Goan e-bike tour company, BLive on Tuesday announced partnership with electric scooter manufacturer Ather Energy  to drive electric vehicle (EV) adoption in tourist destinations.



By way of partnership the two companies will jointly build an ecosystem for EVs and create charging infrastructure.  Under the terms of the partnership BLive will showcase Ather Energy electric scooters and help to set up the Ather Grid of charging stations with the first of the charging stations slated to come up in Goa.



BLive will set up five charging stations for Ather Energy in north Goa by the end of this month. The charging stations will be named BLive EV Zones. In all 15 charging stations will be set up in the state by the end of the year. The sales of Ather Energy e-scooters and  booking of the same will be through the Blive EV store.



BLive is the official EV tourism partner of Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC). Commenting on the tie-up, Dayanand Sopte, chairman, GTDC said, “We want Goa to set an example for sustainable tourism. GTDC supports all the efforts to make sustainable tourism and EV adoption in Goa. We want to create an environment where companies like Ather Energy and BLive can drive innovative change and lead us into the future. We look forward to welcoming many such smart technologies.�



Samarth Kholkar & Sandeep Mukherjee, co-founders BLive, said “Having Ather Energy on our EV experience platform further elevates our mission to drive EV adoption in India. We have already seen multiple pre bookings for Ather, in a few days of launch. This will only go higher and so will adoption to electric mobility.�



 Ravneet S Phokela, chief business officer, Ather Energy said, “The EV market is amidst massive transformation and we have seen an exponential increase in demand for our e-scooters. We aim to leverage BLive’s strong presence in Goa and other popular tourist destinations. Further, we hope to work very closely with BLive’s range of partners, from  Goa Tourism to the hospitality industry in boosting consumer confidence in shifting to e-vehicles.â€?
