The Assam Cabinet on Wednesday announced that it was dropping former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s name from the Orang National Park. “Rajiv Gandhi Orang National Park to be renamed as Orang National Park, taking cognisance of the demands of Adivasi and tea tribe communities,? a government statement said.Last month, the Narendra Modi government announced that the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, India’s highest sporting honour, has been renamed after Dhyan Chand.
