SGSF extends scholarship to young mountaineer who conquered Mt Kilimanjaro #IndiaNEWS #Sangareddy
Sangareddy: Sarvodya Grama Seva Foundation (SGSF) has offered Rs 4,000 scholarship to young mountaineer Bhukya Yaswanth (16), who recently conquered Mt Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain on the African continent.
SGSF, which also funded a part of Yaswanthss expenses of his Mt Kilimanjaro expedition, has come forward to extend Rs 4,000 scholarship per month until he completed his graduation. Yaswanth, a native of Ullepally Tanda in Maripeda Mandal of Mahabubabad district, is studying intermediate second year in Telangana Tribal Welfare Gurukula Society-NDA (TTWGS) in Ibrhaimpatnam.
Founder of the SGSF Dr Sudhakar Nayak, an IRS officer by profession, has handed over the first monthly scholarship to Yaswanth. Speaking to Telangana Today Dr Nayak said Yaswanth had many dreams such as cracking the National Defence Academy examination to get into the Indian Army. We will certainly extend support to the young boy until he realises his dream, the IRS official said.
The SGSF was in the news for extending such scholarships to 41 students who had lost their parents to Covid-19. Yaswanth has thanked SGSF and its founder members Dr Manoj Reddy, Dr Chandra Krishna, and Dr Ajesh Raj Saxena, for their kind gesture.
