DRDO invites startups to submit proposals for Dare to Dream Innovation Contest New Delhi, 15 Dec (KNN) Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has launched the third edition of the Dare to Dream Innovation Contest.
In light of Indias vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat, DRDO is looking for technically competent startups and individuals with futuristic ideas to help make India self-reliant in defence production.
DRDO, in partnership with Invest India, has invited individuals and startups with expertise in the following problems to submit their proposals on Remote Detection & Protection from CBRNE Agents and Underwater Communication System.
It will also accept proposals on Smart Batteries and Self-Healing Batteries for Military Applications, Defence on Cloud (Block Chain Technology, IOT, ML, AI) and Cognitive Technologies for Sensing and Adaptation.
Experts from areas of Shockwave Applications for Defence, Innovative Ideas for Anti Drone and Ideas for Soldiers as a System can also apply.
Non-Line of Sight Optical Imaging and an Open Category: Exploring the Unthinkable and Unimaginable are also the two other topics.
The individuals applying should be citizen of India above 18 years of age, and for Start-ups it must be controlled by Indians and recognized by DPIIT.
Each challenge area will have upto 3 winners each from both the categories - Individuals and Startups with prizes ranging from INR 5 lakh to INR 10 lakh.
Selected applicants shall be provided with the Letter of Appreciation.
