How can we help?

BabyCheers is made by a very small team, which means when you write to us, one of us reads it. Most questions are answered below — if yours isn't, just ask.

Email us

Tell us what happened and what you expected instead. If it's a bug, your iPhone model and iOS version help a lot. We aim to reply within two working days.

Common questions

Do I need an account?

No — BabyCheers has no sign-up screen anywhere. When you first open the app it creates an anonymous identity on your phone, and that's who you are. No email, no password, nothing to forget.

The family you invite don't need accounts either. They open your link and they're in.

How do I invite my family?

Open the Milestones tab and tap the invite icon in the top right. That gives you one link for your whole journey — copy it or share it however you normally message people. Anyone who opens it joins, and can cheer and comment from then on.

If you only want to show one moment to someone, share that card's link instead from the card itself. They'll see that card and nothing else.

Can I peek at the reveal answer before everyone else?

Only if you choose to when you set the reveal up. If you don't, the answer stays sealed on our side until the moment it opens — and your own phone cannot see it either. That is what makes "sealed even from you" real, rather than a promise the app makes to itself.

Someone I invited can't open the link

If they already have BabyCheers, your link opens it straight to your journey. If they don't, the same link opens a page on this site that explains who invited them and points them at the App Store — they can install it and tap the link again.

If the app is installed and the link still does nothing, ask them to open BabyCheers and choose Someone is sharing theirs with me, then paste the link in there. That works even when a messaging app has rewritten the link on its way to them.

I'm getting a new phone. How do I bring my journey?

You can't yet, and we'd rather say so plainly than let you find out at the worst moment. Your journey belongs to the phone you started it on. Deleting and reinstalling BabyCheers on that same phone brings everything back — but there is no way to hand it to a different phone today.

Because BabyCheers has no accounts, there is nothing we can look you up by either, so this isn't something we can do for you from our side. If you're about to change phones or give one up, save the photos that matter to you first.

Moving a journey between phones is the thing we most want to fix, and this page changes the day it does.

How do I delete a moment, or everything?

Open a card and use its delete option to remove one moment, along with its photos, cheers, and comments. To remove everything, delete the journey from Profile.

Deletion is real, not a hidden flag — the rows leave our database, and backups are cleared within 30 days. It can't be undone, so we ask before doing it.

Can I remove someone I invited?

Yes. Open the invite sheet from Milestones, find them in the list of people who joined, and remove them. They lose access to the journey.

Bear in mind that anyone can forward a link before you do that, and that someone who already saw a photo has already seen it. If a moment is one you'd rather nobody had, mark it private or delete it.

Is BabyCheers a pregnancy tracker?

No, and deliberately so. There's nowhere in BabyCheers to record symptoms, weight, kick counts, or appointments, and it will never offer medical advice. It holds the celebrating part — the moments, the photos, the people cheering — and leaves the clinical part to you and your midwife.

Is it free?

Yes, BabyCheers is free to use today. If we add paid features later, we'll be clear about the price and what it covers before you're asked for anything, and what you've already added stays yours.

When is the Android version coming?

We're building iPhone first, because one platform done properly beats two done at half strength — especially for the live reveal, which is the hardest thing in the app. Android is planned, and we're not going to promise a date we can't keep. Watch this page.

Which iPhones does it run on?

Any iPhone running iOS 18 or later. There's no iPad or Mac version yet.

I found a bug, or I have an idea

Please tell us — small teams live on this. Email us with what you did, what happened, and what you expected. A screenshot and your iOS version make it much faster to fix.

Privacy, briefly

BabyCheers has no accounts, no ads, no feed, and no data sales. Only the people you invite can see your moments, and a card you mark private stays private. The full detail — including the honest limitations — is in the Privacy Policy.
